• Is the cottage air conditioned? Yes, there are window units in the upstairs sleeping loft & in the downstairs bedroom. Downstairs bedroom & living room have ceiling fans also.
• Is there a washer and dryer? Yes, located in the basement.
• How many folks does the cottage sleep? 4.
• Is there a minimum night stay? Yes, 2 nights.
• Are pets welcome? Yes, we are happy to allow you to bring along your pets at no additional nightly cost. The deposit amount required however will be slightly higher than for those who are not bring pets. NOTE: if your pet sheds you are required to take extra precautions regarding the bedding/furniture and any clumps of hair on the floor, furniture, appliances, etc. Washer, dyer and vacuum, as well as other cleaning supplies are available at all locations. Failure to use them  will result in a non refund of your deposit.
• Do we need to bring towels and linens? No, all linens are provided including hot tub towels.
• What type of heat does the cottage have? A propane gas fireplace. There is also an electric "woodstove" in the upstairs sleeping loft. There is also electric heat backup in downstairs bedroom and bathroom.
• How do we get keys? Instructions for key location will be given after all payments are received. You will not need to make a special trip to pick them up.
• Is there cable or satellite? Yes
• Does the Cottage have internet connection? Yes wireless internet connection is provided for your convenience.
• Is smoking allowed inside? No
• Is the kitchen equipped? Yes, all pots, pans & dishes are provided and need to be washed and put away before departure. There is a stove with an oven, coffeemaker, microwave, toaster oven & blender. There is gas grill outside on the front porch.
• Are any food items provided? Staple items such as tea coffee, sugar, mayo, mustard & ketchup.
• Is Apple Blossom Cottage private? Yes, the cottage is located 1/10 mile up a private road situated on 1/2 acre.
• Is there water on the property? Yes, a small goldfish pond.
• Is there a hot tub? Yes, there is a 4 person hot tub at the cottage.
• Is there hiking, biking, etc. close by? Yes, the Blue Ridge Parkway is 5 miles, as well as the Mountains to Sea trail.
• Where is the cottage located? 16 miles west of downtown Asheville.
• Are children welcome? Yes, but the cottage is NOT childproof.
• Will my cell phone get reception? Probably not, but local & long distance service provided.
• How close is the Biltmore Estate? 16.5 miles.
• How close is the Asheville Airport? 22 miles
• Can accommodations be made for severe allergies or special personal needs? We will do all that we can, however please remember that we need to know in advance.
• How far is the cabin from Hendersonville? 32 miles. Brevard? 30 miles. Maggie Valley? 33 miles.
• Are picnic items such as plastic plates, spoons etc. & are paper plates provided? No
• Is a flashlight available? Yes, however, sometimes items are accidentally taken by others before you.
• Should our dogs and cats be treated for fleas and ticks? Yes, by your personal choice of product.
• Are there rats? They have not been an issue; however are things are possible.That is why we ask that trash be disposed of properly and with care. We strive very hard to keep any litter cleaned and cleared inside and out!
• Is there an an outdoor water hose? Yes
• Is there a vet close by? All animal emergencies for the entire Western NC area go top REACH animal hospital on Brevard Road.
• Is fishing nearby? Yes,  a NC stocked trout stream is within 1 mile of the cabin. You will need to purchase a NC fishing license if you do not already have one.
• Is the cabin handicapped accessible? No, there are no wheelchairs ramps etc. Regarding the number of steps to enter, there are no more 2 to 3 steps to enter depending on which entrance you use.
 • What items can be recycled? #1 & 2 plastics only, all aluminum & tin cans, glass, all mixed paper and cardboard. All containers need to be rinsed BEFORE you put in the recycling bins.
