Does Elizabeth Nook have a private bathroom? Yes, Elizabeth Nook is totally self contained & private.
• How many apartments are in the house? 5
• Is it private and quiet? Yes, it is private and is amazingly quiet given the fact that the house is older (built in 1927). All units in the house have single tenants and they are all generally quiet, respectful, ranging in age and profession.
• Is cable available?
Yes
• Is there a washer & dryer? Yes, a coin operated W&D are located in the basement.
• What type of heat does Elizabeth Nook have? Natural gas.
• Are the fireplaces functional? No, however the bedroom fireplace has an electric "wood burning" stove for ambience.
• Are pets welcome? Yes, with refundable pet deposit. No additional nightly charge is added.
• Can Elizabeth Nook accommodate more than 2 people? No
• Are linens & towels provided? Yes
• What type of items is the kitchen equipped with? Blender, toaster oven, coffeemaker, teapot, natural gas range, microwave, dishes, pots & pans.
• Are paper products & personal care items provided? Not necessarily however some products might be in the apartment when you arrive. They will not be restocked during your stay.
Is a vacuum provided for apartment? Yes & other cleaning supplies are also supplied for your use.
• Is smoking allowed inside Elizabeth Nook? No
• How close is Elizabeth Nook to downtown Asheville? A 5 minute walk or drive.
• Is internet access provided? Yes, Wirelesss. Bring your own notebook.
• Is there air conditioning? Yes, a window unit is provided for your convenience during the summer months.
• How do we get keys? Instructions for key location will be given after all payments are received. You will not need to make a special trip to pick them up.
Can Elizabeth Nook be rented for less than a one month time period? No, the city of Asheville policies require us to rent Elizabeth Nook on a minimun monthly basis only.
• Are picnic items such as plastic plates, spoons etc. & are paper plates provided? No
• Is a flashlight available? Yes, however, sometimes items are accidentally taken by others before you.
• Should our dogs and cats be treated for fleas and ticks? Yes, by your personal choice of product.
• Are there rats? They have not been an issue; however are things are possible.That is why we ask that trash be disposed of properly and with care. We strive very hard to keep any litter cleaned and cleared inside and out!
• is there an an outdoor water hose? No
• Is there a vet close by? All animal emergencies for the entire Western NC area go top REACH animal hospital on Brevard Road.
• Is fishing nearby? Yes,  NC stocked trout streams are located throughout the Pisgah National Forest just minutes outside of town. You will need to purchase a NC fishing license if you do not already have one.
• Is the house handicapped accessible? No, there are no wheelchairs ramps etc. Regarding the number of steps to enter, there are no more 2 to 3 steps to enter depending on which entrance you use.
 • What items can be recycled? #1 & 2 plastics only, all aluminum & tin cans, glass, all mixed paper and cardboard. All containers need to be rinsed BEFORE you put in the recycling bins.
